Meet Chef Mitch
Much happier than a Shakespearean tragedy! From Ophelia’s on the Bay to Hamlet’s Eatery Chef Mitch has come out of retirement to take over as Executive Chef at Hamlet’s. He has a long and impressive history working as executive chef in some of the best restaurants including Bobby Flay’s Mesa Grill at Caesar’s Place.
“I’ve been following Hamlet’s since they open and love the whole energy they have going on there,” said Chef Mitch. “I’m here to celebrate your celebrations, to satisfy your cravings, to awaken your senses and share the cultures and flavors I've embraced on my chef's journey as your chef!"
Chef Mitch always knew he wanted to be in a creative setting from a young age. He found his passion for cooking and quickly rose to the top of his field as an Executive Chef in the late 80s. His attention to detail was part of Bobby Flay’s Michelin star and Ophelia’s 26 Zagat rating.
Hamlet’s Eatery, the permanently located food truck at The Bazaar on Apricot & Lime, will keep to their “to meat or not to meat” concept but allow Chef Mitch to put his own spin on dishes. While they are considered a food truck they operate more like a restaurant with plenty of seating under a covered patio.
“With Chef Mitch at the helm the dishes are really going to be elevated, owner Kim Livengood said. “I can’t even begin to express how excited I am that he accepted this position. Hamlet’s is just going to get better and better!”
